JUNK FOODS – offer nothing foods

Sugar rich foods such as jams, jellies, candies, rich desserts, and all package mixes and sweet bakery products; sweet gelatin desserts; prepared puddings;

Cool drinks, Imitation fruit drinks, and synthetic fruit ades; soft drinks; alcoholic beverages; imitation cream, both powdered and liquid; (a can of cool drink has been reported to contain up to 8 teaspoons of sugar).

Refined Carbohydrates in prepared cereals, unless purchased from a health food store, refined cooked cereals; “wheat” bread (refined) to which brown dye has been added; all products made with white flour, including unbleached flour and so-called “enriched” flour;

All hydrogenated fats and foods cooked in hydrogenated fats (chemically extracted oils) such as potato chips, cocktail snacks, and French-fried seafoods; hydrogenated peanut butters; processed cheeses;

Cold meats, wieners, and corn beefs should also be avoided because of large amounts of nitrates added to preserve them and produce the pink colour.

Excess sugar if not used immediately after ingestion gets converted into fat. Over time it results in overweight and obesity.

Cool drinks contain phosphoric acid which leaches calcium from the bones. Over time, it creates osteoporosis as early as 30 years old. Cool drinks do not have any form of calcium to replace the lost calcium from the bones.

Refined carbohydrates in cereals and bread when ingested convert to sugar very rapidly. As with sugar, if not used immediately by the body due to an excess in the blood, it gets converted to fat. After the excess sugar has been converted to fat, the blood sugar levels are below normal and this creates another host of symptoms, mainly hyperactivity in children.

Hydrogenated fats are oils that have been chemically combined with hydrogen so they become hard and are added to foods to make them have a longer shelf life. Those oils are present in all pastries, biscuits, doughnuts, croissants, pies, baby formulas, in cooking oils to fry potato chips or deep fry foods. They are very toxic to the body as they harden the body’s cells and make the cells unable to normally receive the needed nutrients for normal cellular function. Reports of regular intake of those oils (known as Trans Fatty Acids) has resulted in coronary diseases (hardened arteries and fat blocking the heart arteries (heart attack) or in the brain (stroke)), diabetes, chronic inflammations, cancer, etc..

Constant tiredness and lack of energy also occur as not enough glucose can enter the cells to produce the needed energy for normal functioning. Hence the craving for more sugar or refined carbohydrates to provide for the apparent lack of sugar in the blood.

Nitrites create scars in the arteries which allows the bad cholesterol to lodge in and build up until the arteries become clogged. With cholesterol build-up, the arteries also become inflamed. Clogged arteries combined with the inflammation contributes to high blood pressure.

COMMON FOODS, GOOD OR BAD?

Milk

Raw, unpasteurized milk has a long history of promoting healing and health. What is required is good clean milk as it comes from the cow, without removal of any substance whatsoever. Raw milk contains a host of enzymes and an abundance of them for easy digestion. Raw milk is known to contain the full range of nutrients to build and maintain good health.

Milk that has been boiled and/or sterilized (pasteurised) or artificially preserved in any way cannot be used for healing. Pasteurized milk is considered dead food and is like a poison to the body which can react to the body with allergies and mucous.

I have personally asked many people who live on farms, drink raw milk, eat fresh vegetables from their gardens, and all of them agreed that there was no illness present. Everyone on the farm was healthy and strong and do not suffer from the common illnesses present in the cities.

White Bread (Refined bread)

White bread is made from bleached flour. The wheat no longer has it nutritional value as most of its goodness has been removed. This is done so the flour produced can be stored for a long time. The bleach used could have benzene derivatives which is known to damage the immune system. If the wheat is kept in its natural and ground to make flour, it will become off or infested by insects after a short while. The bread makers could lose a lot of money if that happens.

Refined bread supplies only carbohydrates. Either buy whole wheat bread or seed loaves, bread made with whole wheat and seeds. They have higher nutritional value. For a better source of carbohydrates, obtain them from fruits and vegetables.

Mealie Meal

The corn used to produce mealie meal is processed the same way wheat is processed for bread. The corn has all its goodness removed so it can have a long storage life. Mealie meal is not nutritious as during the process, there are added chemicals so it can stay on the supermarket shelves for a long time and not go off. All that is left is carbohydrates which does not contribute to health, it contributes instead to weight gain and tiredness.

Best to eat raw or boiled mealies, or dried mealies and stone crushed. Those mealies will contain all the goodness and foods to make a nutritious meal.

Refined Oil (Sunflower or Canola Oil)

Refined oil is highly processed and made with chemicals to make it look clear and added with a yellow tint to make it look yellow. It is not healthy for your cells, the body uses it to build new cells which become hard and diseased.

If you wish to cook with oil, either use virgin extract olive oil, butter, butter ghee, or palm olein oil. All are from natural sources and cannot cause harm to your body.

Rice

Parboiled rice and white rice are poor in nutrients. They are normally removed of their germ and nutrients so they can be stored for long periods. This rice is rich in carbohydrates and does not contribute to building health.

Best to use wild rice, health rice or brown rice as they are richer in nutrients and haven’t been removed. The best rices are obtainable from health shops.
