About Us
Essential Balance was formed some years ago whilst Graham & Lesley Holm sat around a braai one Sunday afternoon with their two sons Matt & Dylan wondering what they should name the health business they had just started. The brand Essential Balance thus came into being.
The backgrounds of the family suited this perfectly – Graham is an exceptional sportsman and has provincial colours in 5 different sport disciplines whilst Lesley is a biologist and Food Technologist, having spent about 12 years in Research & Development for some great corporates.
Initially we focused on being an agent for others. The impetus for developing our own branded products came from reading various magazines and research articles. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Essential Balance, a privately owned company founded on high integrity and ethical standards for manufacturing supplements (in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants), strongly believes in supplying the best product based on sound research geared at healthy, organic results, while building a network of healthy followers, appreciative of the fact that the food provided today lacks the nutrients, minerals and vitamins needed to live a healthy life.
Focused on the individual who wants to live a better, more healthy and productive life, the range of supplements manufactured are aimed at replenishing the human body with the required daily nutrients and supplements (not always found in our foods and diets), that aid the cellular and molecular structure of the body to strengthen its natural immunity, so as to combat germs, viruses, bacteria and other pathogens in the most natural way.
Growing a powerful network of like-minded, conscious individuals, through factual education and information provided, expand to reach all types, from sports people to corporate executives, addressing ailments such as stress, headaches, cramps, acute asthma, infections, muscle spasms, inflammation and many many more.
Our intention is to expand our range of products so that all the essential nutrients and vitamins required by the body can be acquired from one supplier.
Our History
2004
Essential Balance starts it brand new journey as a health supplement company selling products carefully selected from a few hand-picked suppliers.
2006
Essential Balance launches its first ‘in house’ product, Vitamin C. After researching the market for a high quality Vitamin C, we decided to put our own formula together and this essentially puts us on the ‘manufacturer’s map.’
2007
Our new brand logo is created and we design labels and packaging and ‘take to the market with our first ‘own product”, which is well received in the market among our clients.
2009
EB adds 3 more products to its stable – Super B, Vitamin B1, Anti-Stress.
2020
Essential Balance goes digital with its online store, opening it’s ranges to the general public across South Africa, and the world.
